"There is only the flowing"
What water continues to teach me...
There is only the flowing I once thought there is the one who travels the river and there is the river itself, but now I see there is only the flowing, the eternal movement of the water, changed from glory into glory, life pouring forth in a moment as sunlight ripples on the surface, an incarnation, as the water continues to flow, its voice singing over the stones. --Stuart Higginbotham
I could write a great deal about water today, how I feel drawn to it, how I feel I have much to learn from it. I try to take a walk down to the lake every morning to be near water.
Water reminds me that my perspective of having a strictly separate identity is an illusion. Grasping to this illusion of separation is what allows us to treat one another as “others,” when we are, in fact, all connected.
How are you being called to flow? What does flowing look like to you these days?
Blessings,
Stuart
